We encountered the same problem on a Motorola 8000 (using the same Oracle 88open port). Moving to 6.0.36.4.2 took care of the export/import problem but introduced a fragmentation problem (contiguous free extents are not considered contiguous). Next week we are upgrading to 6.0.36.6.x (we have the tape) which should hopefully clear that up too.
