I know of 3 tuning aids for Oracle.

  1. GUIDELINES AND GOOD PRACTICE FOR DEVELOPING SQL AUTHOR : Tina London DATE : August 7, 1992 Email : tlondon_at_cix.compulink.co.uk

An excellent article posted a while ago by David Bath which is mostly  concerned with optimizing queries.

2. Oracle Corp. just sent me a copy of
Oracle for Unix, Performance Tuning Tips.
	Part No. 53134-0293
	February 1993
	Author: Chidori Boeheim

This is a collection of 37 tips on tuning Oracle on UNIX platforms. Tips on installation, memory, SQL statements, Disk I/O, CPU, and misc. If your Oracle Rep hasn't sent this to you I suggest you request it.

3. Also:
	Oracle, Tuning Beyond the Manual
Authors: Peter Corrigan and Mark Gurry
Available: direct from Authors for A$69
	52 Rowena Parade
	Richmond, Melbourne
	Australia
	email: mag_at_scammell.ecos.tne.oz.au (Mark Gurry)

I think this is an excellent and comprehensive book, well worth purchasing. It is available directly from the authors but I'm not certain if they are shipping it outside Australia as yet.
