There is a new product called DDS/Patrol which is designed to do all this and more. It works on Mono or Colour X-terminals and contains knowledge bases for (by default) Unix and Oracle, and allows users to build their own. An advanced feature is that if you know the solution DDS/Patrol can perform that on reaching a number of user defined thresholds
