verification

I need to implement a double-entry data verification scheme where the operator will re-key a data sheet into a form to be double-checked against a record which exists in the database. If the new entry doesn't match the existing entry the operator should be notified and given the opportunity to make a correction.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to do this.
