We are getting started using GQL accessing Informix databases residing on an IBM RS/6000 running AIX. I have been very impressed with the tools and performance of the product. Since it is client-server, most of the performance is dependent on the speed of your communications link.

One of the nice features is the fact there are almost identical versions on the Mac and PC (under Windows).

The ability to limit the number of records a user may retrieve - and another option that advises a user when a certain number of records have been fetched - help make the system 'fool' proof :-) protecting the user from him/herself.   Received on Thu Mar 11 1993 - 21:33:34 CET
