MONITOR - Bug?

I've just noticed an anomaly in the MONITOR facility.

If you do the command "IO" the first screen displayed shows no activity (which is correct because it just started), the second refresh shows different values for the current activity versus the cumulative activity.

On the second refresh the details on the left should equal the details on the right as you've only had one interval and the cumulative values for that interval should be identical. We are getting cumulative values of about 10 times the current interval values.

The "IO" command is monitoring all processes (all activity - including recursive calls etc) so where is all this extra work coming from?

I recall (memory is hazy sometimes) that this used to work the way I expect in prior releases of Oracle (we currently have V6.0.34).

Can someone confirm this with other versions please.

Is this a bug with this release? Is it fixed in later release?
