This is an easy one - Q&E sets in between Excell and Oracle. You don't even notice it. There's a menu option in Excell that lets you query a database and put the results directly into your spreadsheet at whatever cell you are currently residing. It will even ask you if you want to maintain a "live" link to the database (which will result in changes that you make in your spreadsheet being propagated back to the database). I don't recommend that you use the live links because I suspect that they may lock up the database table while you are working in Excel (if they're smart they will just do an update when you save your spreadsheet, but of course then someone else's changes might get written over,...).
