I'm trying to connect to Oracle from within ARC/Info using the ARC
"connect" command.

    Details: ARC/Info version: 6.1

             Hardware: Sun Sparc2
             Operating System: SunOS 4.1.3
             Oracle version: 6.0.36

This is what I get when I try to connect:

        Arc: connect oracle billy/mypasswd

System kill command failed for server.

Server channel 0 is not active.

The "orasrv" process up and running because I connect to Oracle from     other machines on our network.

This is what's in my "oracle.dbs" file:

        ARC/INFO 6.1 - Oracle Server
        /usr/oracle/bin/orasrv
        _at_T:whsun1:oracle

The name of the machine running orasrv and Oracle itself is called
"whsun1" and the Oracle SID (name of the database) is "oracle".

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.
