SQL*Forms V3 problem #2
We just upgraded from Oracle V6.0.34 (Forms ) to Oracle V6.0.36.5 (Forms ) and have encountered a problem with 'list of values' and the ENTER routine.
On the screen the user enters an initial and the LOV pulls up all audiologists with that initial; the user then selects the one they want; the original screen displays and the audiologists details appear in the appropriate fields with the special audiologis_id key a hidden field.
The user then presses the COMMIT key to action the request (forces a print to a file); the request does an ENTER which causes the ON_VALIDATE trigger to check the audiologist_id against the database and if valid then prints the information. Well that's how its supposed to work.
When the user presses COMMIT they get a validation error. However, if they press the RETURN key prior to pressing COMMIT .. it works.
What's happening?
As a result of this problem we will not be upgrading from V6.0.34 to a later V6.0.# release. We will wait until Oracle V7 arrives.
