Binding variables with obndrv()

Has anybody successfully bound floating point program variables using the Oracle PRO*C function calls obndrv() or obndrn() ?

These calls are documented in the Oracle PRO*C manual.

I can successfully bind an integer (ftype 3) value but when I bind a float (ftype 4) value with progvl set to either sizeof(float) or sizeof(double), I get a segv inside the oexec().

Is there anything I could possibly be missing?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
