absolutely right! You use global variables. What is nice though is that if the called form is related to the caller at the RDBMS level, Oracle automatically maintains the rollback point for the calling form. So if you cancel changes in the called form and go back to the caller, it will be in the same state as when you left it. The advanced forms manual goes into some detail on how to best handle calling sub forms
