Stripping Oracle Executables on UNIX

We just installed Oracle 6.0.32 on our Silicon Graphics 4d/280gtx running IRIX 4.0 (UNIX). The installation is taking up a whopping 175 MB of disk. We noticed that many of the Oracle executables are not stripped which is (probably) a waste of disk space.
Is it safe to strip them or will Oracle break?
