Don't know about the number of tables but I know that one of our DBA's in Queensland ran into similar problems when his parfile had approximately 200 users. Split into 2 parfiles, it worked fine (using Oracle 6.0.34 on VMS 5.5). Perhaps there is a generic problem using big parfiles like this? By the way, wouldn't it be easier to export by owner, if all these tables are owned by one user?
