Selecting Oracle - Would you do it again?

Emory University is looking for a UNIX database as part of a rightsizing  initiative. We would like to know what tools you are using to develop applications to use with Oracle. What has your experience been with this database and these tools? If you were going to choose a UNIX database today, would you buy Oracle again? Why or why not?
