Is there a way in SQL*Forms 3.0 to determine the existance of a block in the running form on the fly with out accessing the IAP tables? We have unsuccessfully tried to use the BLOCK_CHARACTERISTIC packaged function and trap the error when the block does not exist.

We have a name of a block in a field on the form and would like to do a GO_BLOCK to the block if that block exists.
