I once defined a database which was not the default (system/manager). Its name was POEAS. After that I realized I need to shut that database down and start the default database up. But since the control files were changed, I couldn't do it. Every time I got the error message
"ORA-01103: database name 'POEAS' in control file is not 'DEFAULT' Attempting to shutdown instance ....... ORACLE instance shut down."
I changed DB_NAME back to DEFAULT in the INIT.ORA file. It seems no effect at all. Can anybody help me?
