Has anyone had any experience using netconfig provided under 6.0.33 of ORACLE on VMS?
We are comtemplating using a set of VAXstation 4000-VLC's and 3100's to do development work apart from our production machine, a 6000-330. "netconfig" allows the ORACLE tools to be used on a workstation without a database and an RDBMS license.
What about using cluster based ORACLE (6.2) and setting up an instance on each workstation?
Not having used either, I'm not sure which would be the best in terms of performance, ease of use, and installation...
Anybody care to comment? Thanks.
