Actually, he was multiposting.
Crossposting (posting ONE article in more than one group) I consider ok if you don't know where the question belongs, for three reasons:
- What else should one do?
- If you read the article in one group, it is marked read in the others.
- It's easy to killfile excessive crossposting.
