Assuming the error message is generated by the setup program:
- where do you start the setup program from?
- do you happen to have Pentium IV processors?
If you start setup from the Designer install image and you have a PIV
processor, you *might* just run into the infamous PIV JVM bug (can't
recall the version of the Designer installer).
In that case, start the Universal Installer that was installed whith
the RDBMS, and select the products file from the Designer install image.
