Or, perhaps are trying to avoid Repetitive Strain Injury. These days, just the idea of moving back and forth between mouse and keyboard hurts my wrist.
Besides, most proficient command-line DBAs I know have a library of script tools built. And ain't that the basic definition of a GUI - point and click access to libraries built to suit the developer's (not the user's) idea of what libraries are required.
