LOV changes

For example.
I have an LOV which lists two columns

Column 1 - Person Name
Column 2 - Person ID

when the form loads I check a global parameter if the parameter is 'Y' I want the ordering to be as above however if the parameter is 'N' then
I would like the lov ordering to be like: Column 1 - Person ID
Column 2 - Person Name.

Is there anyway of doing this?

Any help would be really appreciated.
