PDF is different than preview

im new working with reports 9, and i'm having problems with one report that shows different in preview than pdf file. In query i have 2 different groups wich have 1 computed field each one(a,b), then i have another group wich have the totals for that compute fields, with this sql :

select (:a + :b) from dual;
this total appears in preview, but not in pdf file...
Please i apreciate any help...
