The Oracle Applications Specialist will be responsible in assisting in the upgrade and implementation of, the management of, maintenance of, controls of, and security of the Oracle Financial Applications Package. Candidates should have a thorough, hands-on working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems. The position requires experience in understanding business processes, analyzing and accessing business process controls, identifying risks, and linking risks to the relevant IT audit procedures. A working knowledge of technology infrastructures such as operating systems, databases, and experience in performing general controls, reviews, application reviews, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and integrated audits is preferable. In addition, the Specialist will evaluate ongoing processes and procedures to make recommendations on the modifying such processes to escalate efficiencies and research new opportunities to leverage the application and therefore, positively impact the business and the department's effectiveness.
Experience with Oracle 11i, especially the following modules: Financials, Inventory, Projects, and Purchasing, is required. Experience with the 11i data structures/schemas and API's/interfaces, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG), Oracle Portal, Oracle PL/SQL and other related support applications is also required. The candidate must be an independent worker with strong project management skills and possess the ability to positively interact with individuals and teams. The position requires strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Must be familiar with Oracle Support procedures. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be proficient in MS and related IT Platforms and remain current with the latest developments in hardware and software.
Position is located in Canonsburg, Pa. This position may require occasional travel. Can You relocate??? Position is either a contract or Perm. Perm will pay $120K + stock
