Without taking sides on SAS/SPSS/other tool vs Oracle, let's just say that if you are a Oracle shop, you owe it to yourself to take a look at this feature (esp in 10g) before investing in a separate data mining tool. The same argument holds for other BI offerings.
If you are already a SAS/SPSS shop, but have all your data stored in a Oracle backend, try ODM and see if it meets your needs. If it does not, please post your requirements at the above site for a quick response.
