[Quoted] [Quoted] Hi, using Oracle Forms 6i served from an NT IIS WebServer. Have been accepting data entry from "scanned" barcode labels for years by using keyboard wedge.

Problem: is there any way to distinguish whether entry was from a barcode vs keyboard entry. The app is a healthcare app and if the value *must be* "scanned in" to be trusted. If not, a second person must verify the entry by entering username/pw. Have thought about embedding "special" characters in the barcode as a tag but have not quite figured it out. Any hints?

Thanks,
