Designer Forms: Linking update module component / stand-alone list of values

[Quoted] I'm trying to do the following:

create a form, with at the top a list of values drop-down box, filled with values from table A.
Also at the top, an input box to enter a year.

Below that a list, allowing updates and inserts on table B, where B.year = the entered year, and B.A = the record selected from table A (foreign key relationship is defined on the database). The list should only show the records that fit these criteria, and if a user inserts a record, it should set these fields to these criteria.

Now, how do I do that in Designer 6i?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
