how have you found TOAD as a syntax training-wheels type learning tool? i've only used it's DDL GUI a couple times (well maybe 3) so i don't know all that it covers, but the OP'r does have a valid point that it's nice to have a GUI to guide you to the (hopefully correct) syntax
