It ALWAYS helps to specify the OS & Version.

FWIW - If you have multiple ORACLE_HOME directories, you'll have multiple TNSNAMES.ORA files. I strongly suspect that iDS has a different home than SQL*plus; and therefore success with SQL*Plus is not relevant to a network connect from iDS. Received on Sat Sep 06 2003 - 03:19:33 CEST
