Well I'd start by spelling it with an 'O'. ;-)
The best way to become a DBA is to become a developer and pay your dues for 3-5 years. Start by going to http://tahiti.oracle.com and read the concepts and architecture documents.

Finally ... find a local university that teaches Oracle. Not as a crash course to get an OCP but rather a real hands-on developer program.
