[Quoted] ive only deployed to the web professionally with 6i. We did not use 9iAS. It interferred with out security PKIs(dont ask me... SA handled that).

we just used apache. with 9i all you have to do is intall developer, and the database. apache will install. Start the OC4J, which in windows can be done from program files(not sure how to do it from unix, dont know the .exe)

you also need to start the HTTP server which is apache. this can be done from the command line or you can do it in services. then just run the form.

its easiest to learn forms by having it all isntalled on windows. to run apache from the command line. find the apache.exe file(its in oracle_home\apache\somehwere) go there from DOS do apache -k start this will start apache.

I have had problems with apache configuration. I got my forms to run fine, my PC at home crashed now the configuration is screwed up. I have not had a chance to reinstall it.

best place to get info on forms is www.fatcity.com sign up for the ODTUG-Dev2k-L forum. Its where the forms specialists hang it. The usenets are mainly for DBA stuff. really good forms guys on the odtuf forums. Received on Tue May 27 2003 - 14:34:04 CEST
