[Quoted] Hi again Daniel

I think I will forget about upgrading to version 9 for the time being since [Quoted] the Uni is only supporting DB 817 and Dev & Des 6.

Basically in the course I am doing we use Oracle 817 and Developer(Forms and [Quoted] Reports)6 and Designer6. These are the software provided at Uni as well as to those who do the course externally.

Unfortunately the Uni Oracle Lab has only 20 computers for the students and [Quoted] there are as many as 240 students using the lab which is always congested with students towards the time assignments are due, and only a small percentage about 20 percent like me who have installed the software at home. [Quoted] In fact I have installed Oracle as above on my laptop, my home computer and [Quoted] office computer so I can practice Oracle Tutorials or work on my assignments [Quoted] wherever I maybe, at any given time when I have the time.

The current assignment is a group assignment that requires creating a database and the associated data entry forms and reports. If this is done at [Quoted] Uni we can use a single repository or assigned container to develop the project. How would I do the same since each of my oracle installation on the [Quoted] 2 desktops and the laptop are an individual installation with a database called OraDbase.home. The idea is that each one in the group can work on a particular aspect of the project but using only the single repository. In fact I have tried exporting a container successfully without errors but when [Quoted] I import it has errors. As my group are all working and studying full time it is difficult for us to get together hence the need to work outside the Uni oracle lab at say my home where I have a network of 4 computers already.

[Quoted] I have noticed that when we create forms the Oracle forms actually saves the [Quoted] form by default as module1 in the my documents directory and when I double click on the module 1 icon in my documents it actually goes to the repository where the form was created.

[Quoted] [Quoted] So what I really need advise on is how do I set up the puers so that the [Quoted] computers on the network conect to the on edbase where the tables/entities/attributes are located.

You have helped me before for which a thousand thanks.
