How can you call it "excellent"? - It sucks and feels like a 30 year old tool.

It hasn't.

There is a GUI-product called isqlplus which may be nice if GUI is an option (it isn't for me, when I work over a relatively slow connection). Unfortunately, it refuses to work on my system (Red Hat Linux 8.0).

I have found HenPlus to be a bit difficult to install, but once running _very_ nice to work with:
