Discoverer 4i ORA-01821: Date format not recognized

Hi,
[Quoted] I am using Discoverer 4i Administration (AE) and User (UE) Editions (French
versions) , v 4.1.37.00.0
[Quoted] on an 8.1.7.2.1 database; both are on Win NT (Workstation and Server).
I use the Default Date Hierarchy (YYYY>Quarter>Mon>DD) on a DATE column named MS RELV in the Discoverer AE.
In the Discoverer UE, when I try to extract one of these calculated items:
Year, Month, or Day,
I get the message : ORA-01821: Date format not recognized.
However, I get no message with the item Quarter. The values are returned as
[Quoted] they should with Quarter => Q1,Q2,Q3,or Q4.
I did not find anything on metalink.

Year is defined as EUL_DATE_TRUNC(MS RELV,'YYYY') Quarter is defined as EUL_DATE_TRUNC(MS RELV,'"Q"Q') Month is defined as EUL_DATE_TRUNC(MS RELV,'Mon') Day is defined as EUL_DATE_TRUNC(MS RELV,'DD')
What is wrong with the date formats used in the function????

Can someone explain what is going on????
Does this have to do with language settings ?
