So would I, but unfortunately, the standard method imposed upon me by the DBA (for consistency etc) is to use SQL*Loader. Similarly, ALL job scheduling HAS to be done using cron - I am not permitted to use DBMS_JOB! Ah well, just have to hope things don't go wrong, I guess :-(((
