i got through the error by specifying -H odc (the old portable format)
in cpio command line, e.g.
> cat 9.0.2iDS_LINUX.cpio |cpio -i -H doc
but i later encountered linking error. i'm trying to install it on a
SuSE 8 machine which has Oracle 9i R2 database installed successfully.
Has anyone know for the fact that Oracle Designer in Developer Suite
UNIX package actually works on UNIX workstation?
