Oracle 9i Client and Pentium4 2Ghz problems after installation

[Quoted] There was a following problem. The machine with established NT4.0 SP6 256Mb PC2100 2.0Ghz. Installation of the client 9i (9.2) goes successfully. TNS ping too successful, and at attempt of start sqlplus, he is thrown out with mistakes.
Advise how to be.
