running oracle 817 EE locally.
installed dbqwikedit.
Setup:
C:\oracle\ora817\dbase\initoracle.ora has statement   IFILE='C:\Oracle\admin\oracle\pfile\init.ora C:\Oracle\admin\oracle\pfile\init.ora has the following: db_name = "oracle" db_domain = abc.com
instance_name = oracle service_names = oracle.abc.com

1 Using Provider: Oracle Provider for Ole DB, Test Connection went OK. Login went OK. But, when I tried to open a table, I got an error.

The TDS environment is handling an exception. Class: EDatabase Error. Message: Can not access field 'COLUMN _HASDEFAULT' as type Boolean.

When I open the table second time, thee error does not appear but only 1 column is showing!

Any solution?

2. Used provider: MS OLE DB Provider for Oracle

Getting error at the start itself.

MS Datalink error. Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. Oracle error occured. But error msg could not be retrived from oracle.

Any solution?

3. Which provider I have to choose and why? I am running Win2000 professional, oracle 817 EE.
