[Quoted] [Quoted] I wasn't aware that *any* tools from Oracle met any needs. No one who uses TOAD's debugger goes back to Proc Builder -- including most of Oracle's own consulting division. And TOAD DBA vs OEM? There is no comparison whatsoever. And even *if* someone inside of Oracle learns how to spell gui, unless they drop this Java and web crap, they can't compete against tools that have twice the features, updates thrice a year, and load a second after being launched.

Everything I've tried from Oracle lately looks like crap (all the Java based stuff), is sluggish once loaded, and requires a coffee break just to get them loaded.

[Quoted] It's funny. I met the Toad-dude at OOW last year and asked who his largest users was and he told me Oracle Consulting. Only they mostly arent willing to admit it or pay for it. Received on Sat Aug 24 2002 - 15:50:08 CEST
