[Quoted] Aye, this should be a simple problem and you're doing the right thing by setting the field to expand vertically. Problem is Reports is somewhat obtuse at times and you need to treat it right or it can get all moody and do the opposite of what you want. In order to placate it I can only suggest removing the field and re-creating it, making sure that the edge of the field does not touch the edge of the line. If this still fails try putting a great big frame around the field (don't forget to set this to expand vertically was well).
