SEMANTICA Software is pleased to announce the 2.0.0.1 release of PL/Run.
PL/Run is an advanced PL/SQL API (application programming interface) solution that manages all background processes on one or more servers. PL/Run provides control over any parameter-driven OS command or PL/SQL program. Processes can run effectively on multiple systems with dynamic, true-cross-platform load balancing. PL/Run enables Oracle developers to integrate complex process and job functionality in their own applications.
PL/Run offers the following functions from within Oracle:
- create, change and remove queues with flexible opening and closing hours
- create, change and remove repeating jobs
- submit, wait, cancel and change jobs
- execute, wait and cancel processes on any Operating System or in Operating System files
- encryption of program calls
- execute PL/SQL processes and jobs by using a different session
PL/Run features:
- schedule and execute any database or OS process through standard PL/SQL function-calls.
- choose between a centralized or de-centralized job and process management solution.
- use your own front-end-tool: Oracle Developer, Java, Powerbuilder, Delphi.
- dynamic 24/7 scheduling.
- define dependencies between jobs and processes (chaining functionality).
- multiple queues : 'balancing of load'.
- opening and closing time windows : maximum flexibility.
- total control over jobs, processes, agents, time-windows and queues.
- no interference with your own trancactions.
- extensive error handling.
- sample code, get you 'up and running' very fast.
- easy installation, all installed within a few steps.
- ready to use job and process management console: PL/Run Studio.
- source code PL/Run Studio free with Database License
- You can try PL/Run for free!
