You mean other than the fact that it is unsupported by Oracle?
I have it on a few machines right now and it works most of the time. If "most of the time" is good enough then go for it. But some of the time I am reminded that XP stands for Xtra Problems.
Why 6i against 9.0.1?
6i has been replaced by IDS 9i and 9.01 is two releases behind the current 9.2.
