Hi all

I think that everything has a price, and there is no perfect tool.

Using Delphi as example, it is a very powerful and flexible tool, but much database-related things you have to do manually.

By other hand, Oracle Forms is sometimes cumbersome and limited, but has a very high productivity to develop database applications, not to mention the high integration with oracle database (for example, they both use Pl/sql as language).

So it is up to you, depending on what kind of app you are developing, decide which tool is more appropriate, and "accept" the limitations of the tool. But surely, if Forms was an open source tool, I would make many modifications... :)
