I know how to set a standard default where and use execute query to normally get what I want.
However, I want the user to decide which columns to compare. I have a loading table and a production table and the user is looking for records that are not exact duplicates since the data set in the loading table comes from a secondary source.
So the user requires the ability to first compare primary keys. If they match, but have different data in the rest of the record, those records need to be displayed for comparison. I also want to turn the columns that have differences yellow.
I want the user to be able to pop up a modal screen with a check box representing each column(other than the primary key.) and choose which columns to compare.
What is the easiest way to build a where clause using this method? Its fairly standard in ad hoc query tools which is what Im trying to replicate here. Received on Fri Apr 26 2002 - 15:32:39 CEST
