Any "Directly-Editable" Report Generators?

Although I know that virtually all report writers allow users to customize their reports by giving them a design environment to set up their own report templates, I'm looking for something that allows users to directly edit the generated report as if it was a Word document.

I guess I'm describing a package that is a basic report writer PLUS a document editor.

Does such a thing exist that can be easily integrated with a VC++ application.
