Hi,

I work for a customer with Oracle and they send the dumps by email.

Since a moment, it becomes too big.

So I would define a procedure using inctype=CUMULATIVE to use it every time we need to recuperate new datas on our customer database copy. I just see it in a book called Oracle8i DBA. I didn't used it. I want some precisions before !

In fact, I read this option used with exp generates the difference since the last full export.

The problem is that we can't force our customer to make only full export when he send us a new cumulative version. They need to make full export for their security !!!

So, is there a way to make cumulative since an other full export (oldest than the last one !) I suppose that no, but if there is a possibility, for example, to delete the system trace of all the full exports generated after the one that we are interested about !

Is there a solution like that ? How can I proceed to realize it?

Can somebody purpose a clean and great solution ?

Thanks to your answers.

Best regards
