There is a known bug with JRE 1.1.x (and probably 1.2.x) from Sun (symjit.dll does not support P4). As a workaround, find all occurences of this file and delete (or rename) them. Will slowdown JVM quite a bit, but it will work. :) Sun and Symantec also released patched versions of the dll for those having problems with Java on P4.
