oracle 8i Lite and XP OCA-30002 error

Hi
When I try to connect to the POLITE database in Oracle 8i Lite i keep getting the error.
OCA-30002: UBOFSCR FUNCTION NOT SUPPORTED. I'm running it on Windows XP professional which I guess isn't supported yet.
Any ideas on how to get it to run?
