How can I rid my workstation of des6i cleanly??

I have a windows 2000 (pentium iv).

For some odd reason I cannot re-install the designer release 4 because the program (installer exits out every time with an orainst error). Hence, the cleanup operation may not have been entirley successful - this includes registry entry removals and deletion from windows explorer.

Any suggestions
