Problem with oracle 8.1.5 on RedHat 7.1

Just below the command I enterred
svrmgrl
connect internal
startup nomount
After that svrmrgl doesn't respond at all, nothing happen. No error message. Just nothing ! Received on Sat Nov 24 2001 - 18:50:22 CET
