sess_sh problems

[Quoted] I have Oracle 8.1.7 personal edition on Windows 98. I am trying to learn how to use the Oracle Servlet Engine. I tried to run the sess_sh.bat file from the command line by just typing "sess_sh". I got the error

Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread Could not create Java VM

Does anybody know what is happening here? My Java installation works since I use it all the time on my machine.
